The Fall

I remember the day that you said

"I am dying"

I couldn't help but laugh thinking

you were lying.

How could my life turn upside down

in a moment?

For that one fleeting second, I felt

the air is absent.

The day when they decided to shave

off with your lovely hair

I smiled and said " looks prettier now"

hiding my despair

You threw the book at me and laughed

My heart was burning

You wanted me to be stronger, I can't

But I am trying

These last days of your life you chose

to spend with me alone

Now you are loving me so much that I

need not look for love

'Coz what you've given me will stay with me

forever and ever

However short this is my life here, with you

still laughing by my side
